Curl Curl

The owners of this property located at Curl Curl on Sydney’s Northern Beaches wanted an easier access to their front door than walking up a very steep driveway, often slippery when wet. We built a staircase constructed from Milled recycled Railway Sleepers adjacent to the driveway.  On either side of the staircase that was previously a steep lawn, are now a garden beds planted with Australian and South African native plants, all suited to the coastal situation and close proximity to the ocean. 

Pennisetum’s wave in the breeze and a variety of Lecospermums and Leucadendrons provide flowers all year around. Bluechalk sticks and Dianella ‘Cassa Blue’ provide brilliant blue foliage amongst the green
